In 2019 we are celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the birth of novelist George Eliot. Born Mary Ann Evans in our home town of Nuneaton we are delighted to once again be working with the George Eliot Fellowship in bringing these classic works of literature to life.
We are planning some exciting events during 2019.
In August, we performed a brand new adaptation of Mr Gilfil’s Love Story, adapted by Viv Wood, this exciting new production was brought to you in the ground of Arbury Hall, Nuneaton.
We are also planning a series of one hour long rehearsed readings at a number of locations throughout the area. These will be free sessions and in locations connected with George Eliot. Rehearsed reading will include Mill on the Floss, Adam Bede and Felix Holt.
In November 2019, we will be staging the world premier of a brand new musical adaptation of one of George Eliot’s most loved works; Silas Marner. This new production will run at at the Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton in November 2019.
